In one of the most bullish crypto calls, British bank Standard Chartered (LON:STAN) says that the price of Ethereum (CRYPTO: $ETH) could reach $25,000 U.S. by 2028.
The bank’s forecast is 755% higher than where Ethereum is currently trading at $2,926.18 U.S., having fallen more than 25% in the past month and dropping below the key level of $3,000 U.S.
Many analysts expect ETH to fall as low as $2,500 U.S. before finding a bottom and reversing higher.
However, Standard Chartered remains defiantly bullish and forecasts that Ethereum could reach $7,500 U.S. by the end of this year.
The bank then sees ETH at $12,000 U.S. in 2026, $18,000 U.S. in 2027, and $25,000 U.S. in 2028.
Standard Chartered says Ethereum’s price is likely to be supported by a growing number of treasury companies buying ETH, along with continued purchases from exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
The entire cryptocurrency market has declined sharply since a massive leverage liquidation occurred on Oct. 10 of this year.
Bitcoin (CRYPTO: $BTC), the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, has declined more than 30% in the past month to trade at $86,900 U.S.
