NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / November 21, 2025 / Healthcare Interactive Inc. ("HCIactive") recently suffered a data breach that compromised the sensitive personal and protected health information of individuals. This data breach has led to concerns over the security of sensitive personal information entrusted to HCIactive.
WHAT’S THIS ABOUT?
On or about July 22, 2025, HCIactive became aware of suspicious activity on its computer network. Upon detection, HCIactive launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to HCIactive’s network between July 8, 2025, and July 12, 2025.
The impacted data may include personal information (such as name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, phone number, and email address), health insurance enrollment data (such as health plans/policies, insurance companies, member/group ID numbers), medical data (such as medical record numbers, doctors, diagnoses, prescriptions, lab results, images, care, and treatment), and health insurance claims data (such as claim numbers, account numbers, explanation of benefits, and billing codes).
In September 2025, HCIactive reported the breach to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and began sending notice letters to impacted individuals. Compensation may be available for those individuals who receive notice that their sensitive personal information was compromised.
