NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / November 21, 2025 / Philadelphia Corporation for Aging ("PCA")recently suffered a data breach that compromised the sensitive personal and protected health data of individuals. This data breach has led to concerns over the security of sensitive personal and protected health information entrusted to PCA.
WHAT’S THIS ABOUT?
On July 25, 2025, Philadelphia Corporation for Aging ("PCA") became aware of unusual activity in its network environment. Upon detection, PCA launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity experts and legal counsel to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to and may have copied certain information from PCA’s systems between July 10, 2025, and July 25, 2025.
The impacted data may include names and other personal and protected health information.
On November 4, 2025, PCA filed a notice with the Attorney General of Maine and began mailing notification letters to impacted individuals.Compensation may be available for those individuals who receive notice that their sensitive personal and protected health information was compromised.
