The latest service from Sound Royalties, which has a more than 10-year track record in providing flexible financing for the music sector and broader creative industries, marks the first time an advance funding program has been tailored to TV production companies, studios, and content owners. As with all of Sound Royalties' financing options, the businesses receiving these advances will always retain full ownership of their content and copyrights, without compromise.

The new offer is designed to provide advances on contracted income from agreements with networks or streaming platforms. These payments can often take months or years to arrive, creating financial gaps or a significant time lag between funding for productions.

By advancing these fees upfront, Sound Royalties provides professionals in the TV and film industry with the flexibility to ensure uninterrupted progress across all stages of production, including filming, marketing, and post-production.

Before this solution, production companies without the backing of larger parent groups had very limited financing options. With traditional financial institutions offering little support for the TV sector, companies that did not want to pause production often had to self-fund, placing considerable strain on internal resources and individuals, or turn to expensive factoring arrangements, which could harm their longer-term financial returns.

Sound Royalties has already completed deals with significant companies operating in the sector, including February Entertainment, creators of the Emmy-nominated series 'A Tiny Audience', and JK Media Group, creators of award-winning bilingual docu-reality series 'Chiquis sin filtro', 'Larrymania', and 'Mi Vida'.

Alex Heiche, Founder & CEO, Sound Royalties, said: “The TV industry is one of the most powerful storytelling mediums of our time, yet so many production companies find themselves stalled waiting for licensing payments that can take months or even years. With our financing, we're removing roadblocks and helping creators keep the cameras rolling, without ever risking ownership of their work. This is just the latest example of Sound Royalties empowering creators with flexible capital, and we're proud to be giving them a platform to continue telling stories that matter.”

Michael Bizenov, Managing Partner & President, Sound Royalties, said: “Over the past decade, we have led the way in funding for music and entertainment creators, growing trusted relationships with creators who come back to us time and again. Now we're proud to bring our proven, creative-friendly model to television production. The creative industries need financing solutions tailored to their unique circumstances – this offering delivers exactly that for today's forward-thinking TV companies.”

Maurice Keizer, Format Creator & Executive Producer, February Entertainment, said: “This new funding option can be a lifeline for our type of studios. The lack of financial support from most traditional institutions and the long payment terms imposed by the networks are an industry-wide problem. Alex and I came up with this solution because too many talented, independent producers were being forced to shelve projects or give up ownership, even when their studios were creatively thriving and financially stable. Sound Royalties is now providing the kind of support that helped make the latest seasons of A Tiny Audience possible, particularly as the scope of the project grew from season one to season three.”

Sebastian Jimenez, CEO, JK Media Group, said: “The demand for this kind of financing has been there for decades, the industry just needed someone to step up and deliver it. For too long, production studios have had to operate without access to the financial tools available in most other industries. This solution from Sound Royalties gives studios the capacity to develop, shoot, and deliver their projects without sacrificing ownership or waiting for network payments. It's a smart, long-overdue shift that lets us focus on what we do best: making great television.”

Unlike traditional financing models, Sound Royalties advances are structured with fixed payments over a set term, and do not require personal guarantees, collateral, personal financial statements, closing costs, attorney fees, or hidden charges.

Advances are tailored to the specific circumstances of producers and rightsholders, and do not require 100% recoupment, providing the potential to further bolster ongoing cashflow during the funding period.

This marks the latest move by Sound Royalties to expand its service offer within the entertainment industry. In May of this year, the Company announced YouTube Financing for digital content creators and channel owners on YouTube without requiring them to give up rights, ownership of their channel, or creative control.
