Since opening in 2019, Assisting Hands has been honored to support seniors, veterans, individuals with chronic conditions or disabilities, and those recovering from surgery-thrive in the comfort of their own homes. With nearly one in five Frederick County residents aged 65 and older, the need for trusted home care services has never been greater.
Owners Troy and Jodee Rudy, both born and raised in Frederick County, founded Assisting Hands with a heartfelt mission: to provide peace of mind and relieve families' stress when caring for loved ones. Troy brings over 25 years of experience in executive business management and information technology, while Jodee, a registered nurse, offers more than 25 years of clinical and community care expertise.
Their vision was inspired by their personal journey caring for Jodee's mother, Pat, who was diagnosed with dementia. Because of this experience, they understand firsthand the importance of dependable, compassionate care.
