Attendees visiting will be able to learn and see first-hand how successful intelligent interoperable solutions, when combined with T-Mobile's award-winning 5G network, enable efficient city planning and infrastructure management. This network mobilizes low latency, high-speed connectivity and high bandwidth performance to allow for streamlined testing, deployment and validation in the ecosystem.
Visitors attending the Tech Tours will be welcomed to Curiosity Lab's newly expanded campus to continue deploying, validating and testing cutting-edge technology in Peachtree Corners. The expansion includes a second 25,000 square-foot building that will be home to members and partners to continue Curiosity Lab's and Peachtree Corners' smart city initiatives and offer more real-world connected infrastructure to meet the demands of the growing space. This marks a significant milestone for Curiosity Lab and Peachtree Corners as they continue to define and shape the model for smart city expansion and to create a more connected safe city.
“This year's theme, 'Deploying Today, and Empowering Tomorrow' perfectly embodies our city's dedication to opening the doors to startups and established companies to continue technological growth,” said Peachtree Corners City Manager Brian Johnson. “Our demonstrations will highlight our partners' commitment to continuing to enhance roadway safety, congestion relief and economic growth. We are thrilled to welcome attendees to Peachtree Corners and the newly expanded Curiosity Lab campus. We could not be prouder of the work that is being done in our city to continue to improve the daily lives of residents and visitors.”
Over 300 world leaders, decision makers and their supporting teams from public and private sector transportation agencies will be personally visiting the Curiosity Lab to experience live demos to gain critical knowledge about the implementation of new technologies and solutions that the Curiosity Lab makes possible for start-ups internationally. Demos will feature real-time smart city dashboards, C-V2X interoperability between 5.9 GHz and cellular-connected RSUs and OBUs, supporting critical use cases like emergency vehicle prioritization, protection of vulnerable road users (VRUs) and more
Presentations will demonstrate as follows:
— Cisco: Cisco will showcase secure connectivity throughout an intelligent transportation solution that sits within the traffic signal and intersection processing data from all of the different sensors: video, LiDAR and radar. Cisco will demonstrate how this system makes use of the different sensor types and gives transportation engineers intelligent secure data behind these systems.
— Commsignia: Direct C-V2X (PC 5) messaging and interoperability with the cloud will be demonstrated, as well as improved intersection safety through various messages, such as the detection of pedestrians at crosswalks. In this showcase, Commsignia's C-V2X RSU will receive HAAS emergency vehicle notifications through the cloud and utilize intersection messaging to forward them to C-V2X vehicles.
— DENSO: DENSO, a leading mobility supplier, will showcase its advanced On-Board Unit (OBU) and V2X technology during its demo. In partnership with industry leaders, DENSO will highlight how its proven V2X solutions improve traffic flow, and support smart city infrastructure, accelerating smart and safer mobility worldwide.
— Derq: An MIT spinoff, Derq will showcase its award-winning SENSE platform, which uses patented AI and V2X technology to predict and prevent collisions in real time. By detecting and forecasting road user behavior, SENSE helps cities reduce congestion, improve traffic flow, and make roads safer for all.
— Esri Inc.: An interoperable spatial analytics platform that connects device, sensor and environment data to enhance near real-time flow of information to vehicles and road users for safety and navigation. Esri Inc. will demonstrate how users can improve the ability to manage roadway events through visualization with precise location accuracy and data insights.
— HAAS: HAAS will demonstrate digital alert notifications from emergency vehicles to road users as well to other clouds through its Safety Cloud® to streamline efficiency, traffic flow, emergency operations and safety.
— May Mobility: May Mobility will be showcasing its autonomous Toyota Sienna Autono-MaaS (mobility-as-a-service), currently deployed in Peachtree Corners, to highlight the capabilities of its patented Multi-Policy Decision Making (MPDM) driving technology as the company redefines the future of mobility.
— Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America (MEAA): MEAA will showcase its Urban Hawk platform, which uses AI to detect city assets, pavement degradation, street view imagery and collision hazard hotspots, providing a powerful digital twin for city officials. This rich, near real-time data leverages T-Mobile hotspots and ESRI's GIS offering to empower municipalities to shift from reactive responses to proactive maintenance, enhancing safety and infrastructure management.
— Network Optix: NxGO's mobility operations platform will showcase how cities can visualize camera feeds and operating systems within a single platform and begin to layer new analytics over existing systems to drive outcomes for mobility operators.
— Parsons: Parsons will showcase their scalable iNET® Smart Mobility Platform, which integrates data from multiple sources to create a “single pane of glass”. By leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning, it enables operators to easily visualize, understand, and act on information gathered from existing roadway technology, optimizing transportation operations.
— T-Mobile: The 5G network provider will showcase its T-Mobile Emergency Response Team (ERT) fleets that rapidly extend and support connectivity capabilities during various emergency and disaster crises for federal, state and local public safety workers.
