As families gear up for the back-to-school season, The Living Room at Princeton is honored to announce the expansion of its adolescent programming to include both mental health treatment and dual-diagnosis care for teens navigating substance use and co-occurring emotional challenges. These outpatient services-offered through Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) levels of care-are now fully underway and inviting new members.
Rooted in a philosophy of presence, compassion and personal growth, The Living Room provides a safe and structured space for adolescents to explore their experiences, build resilience and reconnect with a sense of purpose. Whether a teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use or a combination of concerns, TLR's tailored approach invites each member to be who they are, right here and right now.
“Our adolescent programs are designed to support the whole person and the systems in which they live,” said Dr. August Leming, the Creative Director of The Living Room. “We're here to help teens not just manage symptoms and change behavior, but through insight, rediscover their strength and reconnect with the present moment and love what it holds.”
Services include individual, group and family therapy, in-person academic instruction and experiential modalities, including mindfulness, physical education and art therapy. Morning and after-school options allow for flexibility while maintaining more than appropriate clinical exposure. Transportation is available as needed.
Located at 239 Wall Street, Princeton, NJ, The Living Room offers a uniquely welcoming environment-designed to cultivate calm, compassion and connection. Referrals are accepted from families, schools, providers and community organizations.
