AVAIO Digital is developing the 175-acre site in the City of Brandon, establishing a new data center campus – AVAIO Digital Taurus – that will host the computer server, networking, and data storage technologies that underpin cloud computing and artificial intelligence applications.

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves said, “Rankin County stands to gain tremendously from this high-impact investment, with benefits expected to extend across Rankin County and the Metro Jackson region. Our continued efforts to position the state as a premier destination for business are yielding meaningful results, and AVAIO Digital's commitment marks one of the most remarkable achievements to date. I am beyond proud to be able to witness firsthand our sustained momentum in the global data technology market. Congratulations to everyone involved in this exciting new venture.”

Construction of the first phase of the project totaling over 600,000 square feet of data center buildings and 116 megawatts of power will be complete and energized in the first half of 2027. The new campus will offer a range of low-latency interconnection options, including access to multiple long-haul fiber routes in the immediate vicinity that enable direct connectivity to major data center markets such as Dallas and Atlanta. The Taurus campus will also showcase world class architecture in a park-like setting that is well-buffered from surrounding parcels. The facility will feature an intelligent sustainable design, with details such as water-efficient cooling, rainwater recapture, rooftop solar, and cooling system economization to minimize power demands. ï¼

Mark McComiskey, CEO of AVAIO Digital stated, “The Greater Jackson area is poised to become a new hub for cloud computing and AI development, and we are delighted to partner with the City of Brandon to make a significant investment in expanding the region's digital and energy infrastructure. Mississippi provides a unique opportunity for hyperscalers to rapidly expand their digital presence in close proximity to established data center markets in a highly sustainable way.

Entergy Mississippi, a leader in clean power generation, will provide reliable power for the project. Entergy Mississippi CEO Haley Fisackerly noted, “Mississippi continues to lead the southeast region into a new economic and innovation era, with the announcement of AVAIO Digital's data center hub in Brandon. The development proves why Entergy's investment in reliable, clean and efficient power generation is essential to attracting new business and the state's growth. Thanks to the Mississippi Development Authority and Rankin First Economic Development Authority for a partnership that is allowing us to meet our customers' needs while supporting sustainability and economic growth.” – Entergy Mississippi CEO Haley Fisackerly

The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) approved AVAIO Digital Taurus for the state's Data Center Enterprises tax exemption. MDA also previously provided assistance through the Site Development Grant Program to help develop the East Metropolitan Business and Industrial Park. Rankin County and the City of Brandon are providing infrastructure upgrades and tax incentives for the project, as well.

MDA Executive Director Bill Cork noted, “Landing a multi-billion-dollar project like AVAIO Digital's new $6 billion data center campus doesn't happen by chance-it's the result of Mississippi's laser focus on attracting world-class companies with our strong economic development resources, including access to work-ready employees and shovel-ready sites. Thanks to the leadership of Governor Reeves and our Legislature, Mississippi gets companies to work faster. They go from investing money to making money in record time, and that is a major reason these high-impact mega projects keep choosing Mississippi. AVAIO made an excellent decision by choosing Brandon for its new data center campus, and we are eager to see these high-tech jobs come online in Rankin County.”

Rankin County and the City of Brandon are assisting with the project incentives, as well. City of Brandon Mayor, Butch Lee announced, “The city of Brandon is proud to be the site of this transformative development. This $6 billion investment byAVAIODigital Partners marks a monumental day for the city of Brandon. From the beginning, the city has worked closely withAVAIODigital to help bring this project to life, and today's announcement represents a major step forward. This development will bring high-quality jobs, attract and retain top talent and position Brandon at the forefront of a growing, innovation-driven industry. We are honored to partner withAVAIODigital as they invest in our city's future.”
