Reporting to CEO and Founder, Jack Kokko, Moroney is responsible for leading AlphaSense's compliance team, strategy, and leveraging AI to further enhance its industry-leading compliance program, with primary oversight focus on the company's market-leading Tegus expert call library and call services, the company's distribution of third-party research content, and secure management of sensitive client data.

Most recently, Moroney worked at Goldman Sachs for eight years as an attorney, advising its sell-side research division on issues relating to regulatory compliance, artificial intelligence, alternative data, and expert networks. Prior to that, Moroney was the Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel at Coleman Research for nine years, where he was responsible for creating and guiding the global legal strategy and building a best-in-class expert network compliance program. After graduating from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2001, Moroney was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meager & Flom and Fried Frank where he advised corporations and individuals in connection with investigations by the United States Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, and state Attorneys General relating to insider trading, disclosure issues, and other securities' law counseling.
