The Location Managers Guild International(LMGI) has announced thatveteranLocation ManagerIlt Jones,whose career spans over 30 years,will be honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the 12thAnnual LMGI Awards on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Eli and Edythe Broad Stage.Recognized for his seamless integration of real-life locations with the magical world of superheroes and large action movies, Jones' creative visions can be seen on some of the biggest and most successful blockbuster films ever made such as”The Dark Knight Rises,” “Inception,””Iron Man 3,””Kong: Skull Island,” “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” “Captain Marvel,”and the”Transformers”franchise.
For over three decadeshehas been a key figure in the world of Location Management with some additional credits including”Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn,” “Eternal,” “The Suicide Squad,” “Heist,” and “Hellboy.”His work in television includes “The X-Files,” “Big Love,” and “Carnivàle.”

He hasshot at three Wonders of the World, over 20 World Heritage sites, the Kennedy Space Center, and countless national parks and military bases. The LMGI Awards honor the outstanding and creative contributions of location professionals in film, television, commercials, and film commissions from around the globe, and celebrate the art and craft of location scouting and management. Awards will be presented in the following categories: Contemporary Film, Period Film, Contemporary TV, Period TV, Television Anthology/MOW/Limited Series, Commercials, and Film Commissions.
