The new Master of Science program prepares leaders to strategically align employee and departmental efforts to drive organizational success.
In today's rapidly evolving environment, change is constant-and meeting that change requires innovation. To help leaders thrive in this dynamic environment,the University of Kansas School of Professional Studies is launching a Master of Science degree in Human and Organization Performance Effectiveness(HOPE). The 30-credit-hour program focuses on building critical innovation competencies and launches this fall.

Designed for working professionals, the HOPE program is offered primarily online, with select courses held in person at the KU Edwards Campus in Overland Park. All courses are delivered in convenient eight-week sessions to accommodate busy schedules.
“Effective innovation isn't just about generating ideas-it's about implementing them within the realities of how organizations operate and how people perform,” said Marilu Goodyear, HOPE program director. “The HOPE program equips professionals with the tools to lead innovation from any level of the organization and turn chaos into meaningful progress.”

HOPE curriculum blends theory with real-world applications through case studies and a capstone project that tackles real organizational challenges-often draw from the student's own workplace.
