After nearly two decades of outstanding innovation and service, Chris DiCosmo and Chad Smolinski have been elevated to Co-Presidents. Their visionary leadership will help guide the organization alongside Executive Chairman & CEO Eric Gertler.

DiCosmo and Smolinski currently oversee U.S. News' vertical businesses – news, education, health, real estate, careers, money, travel, autos and 360 Reviews – and are now in expanded roles in driving the company's growth and evolution. In addition to developing long-term business strategies, they will be responsible for ensuring that all operational goals align with U.S. News' strategic vision.

In addition to the co-presidential appointments, U.S. News announces the following senior promotions:

— Stephanie Salmon has been appointed Executive Vice President of Rankings & Data Strategy. With a deep understanding of the industry and a commitment to unbiased, data-driven insights, Salmon will continue to oversee the development and execution of U.S. News' renowned education rankings while now leading data initiatives company-wide. Salmon has been an integral part of the U.S. News information systems and SEO strategy for nearly 20 years and will continue to ensure data quality and integrity across the organization.

— Kate O'Donnell has been named Executive Vice President of Communications & Brand Experience. A leader in brand storytelling, O'Donnell's role expands to include event strategy and development, positioning U.S. News for significant growth and enhancing engagement with audiences and stakeholders both in-person and online.

— Sumita Singh has been elevated to Executive Vice President and General Manager of Health, leading one of U.S. News' signature franchises. Since joining U.S. News in 2022, Singh has expanded care site coverage from inpatient to ambulatory care, launched a Senior Living franchise and expanded U.S. News' healthcare directories with data-rich decision support information.

— Todd Callow is now Senior Vice President and General Manager, Money & Insurance. During his tenure, Callow has significantly grown the revenue of this line of business and has been instrumental in transitioning the vertical from an aggregator model to a direct partnership business with relationships now in place with some of the largest financial institutions worldwide.

— Sabrina Shroff now serves as Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Shroff's leadership focuses on driving talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and organizational development to foster a high-performance culture. In this elevated role, Shroff will develop additional engagement strategies to ensure a diverse and skilled workforce.

— Alex Kalaf has been elevated to Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing Strategy. In this role, Kalaf leads strategic sales planning efforts that drive both new and existing advertising revenue growth. In addition, she oversees the company's programmatic and advertising data strategy and the teams responsible for supporting the advertising sales team.

— Brian Mitchell will lead the education division of U.S. News in addition to CollegeAdvisor.com. As Vice President and General Manager of Education and USNCA, Mitchell now oversees a dynamic portfolio of products, partnerships and initiatives designed to inform, empower and inspire learners, educators, and institutions nationwide.

“These promotions underscore our dedication to leadership excellence and personal growth, ensuring that U.S. News remains at the forefront of delivering trusted information to our audience,” said Gertler. “As U.S. News continues to evolve in a changing media landscape, these individuals will provide the leadership and insight needed for our continued success.”
