The year-long series launched with stories highlighting the courageous work of Catholic sisters worldwide, addressing issues like violence against women in conflict zones, sexual abuse within the church and advocacy at the United Nations for global action.
Throughout this year, Out of the Shadows will continue to explore the pervasive issue of violence against women, exposing systemic challenges while celebrating the tireless determination of Catholic sisters to bring healing and justice.
With stories already in the works from Sri Lanka, Kenya, Vietnam and Mexico City, Out of the Shadows will provide a global perspective on the crisis, showcasing the resilience of survivors and the dedicated efforts of Catholic sisters.
