HumanizeHer Heads to SXSW to Elevate Women’s Voices

Founder Erica Lockheimer will interview leading women across film, sports and media

The HumanizeHer Podcast, a community podcast for women, is headed to SXSW® for its first appearance as an organization since its inception in September 2024. Founded by Erica Lockheimer, a seasoned executive and former Vice President of Engineering for LinkedIn, the HumanizeHer team will take over SXSW's exclusive Podcast Lounge on March 12.

Erica will interview esteemed guests across film, sports and media, notably:

— Cindy Lee, Director of the Oscar®-nominated Live Action Short Film “The Last Ranger”

— Avumile Qongqo, actress; starred as Khuselwa in “The Last Ranger”

— Adrienne Bankert, Emmy Award-winning journalist, host and author

— Lizzi Smith, Paralympic swimmer medalist; disability and sport advocate

— Erin Crownover, Ph.D. Candidate, Physical Culture and Sports Studies (PCSS) at UT Austin and Program Manager for VOICEINSPORT

The podcast interviews will be recorded live, with the ability for audiences to watch guests share their stories at the HumanizeHer Podcast Lounge, located at The Austin Convention Center (500 E. Cesar Chavez St.). Podcast interview times are: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. CT, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. CT, and 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. CT.

Cesar Chavez St.).
