Mission Bank Data Breach under Investigation by Levi & Korsinsky, LLP

NEW YORK, NY / ACCESS Newswire / January 21, 2025 / Mission Bank recently disclosed that it suffered a data breach that compromised the sensitive personal data of individuals. This data breach has led to concerns over the security of sensitive personal information entrusted to Mission Bank.

WHAT’S THIS ABOUT?

On December 2, 2024, Mission Bank became aware of a security incident on its IT Network. Mission Bank launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cyber security experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third-party gained access to Mission Bank’s IT Network and compromised sensitive personal information of individuals. Mission Bank then launched a comprehensive review of the incident to identify the exact type of information compromised as well identify the individuals affected in the incident. On December 28, 2024, the review was completed.

Upon information and belief, the following sensitive personal information may have been compromised in the data breach incident: first name, last name, Social Security number, and financial account information.On December 31, 2024, Mission Bank issued a public disclosure and started sending out notice letters and emails to affected individuals.Compensation may be available for those individuals who received notice that their personal information was compromised.
