This data breach has led to concerns over the security of sensitive personal and protected health information entrusted to Eckerd Connects.
WHAT’S THIS ABOUT?
On or about November 11, 2024, Eckerd Connects detected unauthorized access to its network. Upon learning of the issue, the organization secured its network and launched a prompt investigation with the assistance of thirdâ?’party cybersecurity experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. Eckerd Connects conducted a thorough review of potentially impacted data, which completed on November 17, 2025.The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party accessed files in Eckerd Connects’ network between November 3, 2024, and November 11, 2024. Eckerd Connects determined that the impacted files may have contained personal information or protected health information of certain individuals.
The impacted data may include first and last names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers or other state identification numbers, tax identification numbers, and medical information.
On December 17, 2025, Eckerd Connects filed a notice with the Attorney General of Maine and began sending notice letters or emails to impacted individuals. Compensation may be available for those individuals who receive notice that their sensitive personal information or protected health information was compromised.
