This data breach has led to concerns over the security of sensitive personal and protected health information entrusted to Cove Risk.
WHAT’S THIS ABOUT?
Cove Risk Services, LLC recently became aware of a security incident on its internal network. Upon detection, Cove Risk launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cyber security experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third-party gained access to certain information within its systems on or around May 3, 2025.
The impacted information may include names, dates of birth, driver’s license/state issued identification numbers, health insurance information, medical information, financial account information, passport numbers, and Social Security numbers.
On November 12, 2025, Cove Risk filed a notice with the office of the Attorney General of Maine and began sending notice letters to impacted individuals. Compensation may be available for those individuals who receive notice that their sensitive personal and protected health information was compromised.
