The study's findings were striking.Inhigh-fidelityimplementation classrooms,where students completed 21-22lessons of Reading Accelerator over12 weeks, studentsdemonstratedaveragegrowthof more than17 words correct per minute(WCPM)in oral reading fluency. This growth significantlyexceedsexpected annual growth ratesfor all percentile ranks.Notably, middle school students who are below the 10th percentile in oral reading fluency typically gain only two WCPM in fluency throughout an entire school year.
