NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / October 1, 2025 / ApolloMD Business Services, LLC("ApolloMD") recently disclosed that it suffered a data breach that compromised the sensitive personal and protected health data of individuals. This data breach has led to concerns over the security of sensitive personal and protected health information entrusted to ApolloMD.
WHAT’S THIS ABOUT?
On May 22, 2025, ApolloMD became aware of unusual activity within its information technology ("IT") systems. Upon detection, ApolloMD launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident.
The investigation determined that between May 22, 2025, and May 23, 2025, an unauthorized third party gained access to ApolloMD’s IT systems. During this time, files containing patient information from affiliated physician practices may have been accessed and/or acquired. ApolloMD notified the following physician practices between July 21, 2025, and September 11, 2025:
Passaic Hospitalist Services LLC;
Pensacola Hospitalist Physicians LLC;
Broad River Physicians Group LLC;
Olive Branch Emergency Physicians LLC;
Aurora Emergency Physicians LLC;
Passaic River Physicians LLC;
The Bortolazzo Group LLC;
Methodist University Emergency Physicians PLLC;
Trinity Emergency Physicians LLC;
Lorain Emergency Physicians LLC; and
Pennsylvania Hospitalist Group LLC.
The impacted data may include names,Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, medical information,and health insurance information.
On September 15, 2025, ApolloMD posted public notice of the breach to its website and began sending notice letters to impacted individuals. Compensation may be available for those individuals who receive notice that their sensitive personal information was compromised.
