School Bus Strike Looms as Durham Refuses to Bargain in Good Faith
Bus workers at Durham School Services, represented by Teamsters Local 38, will hold a practice picket on Tuesday, Sept. 30 to demand that their employer offer them a new collective bargaining agreement. The 175 bus workers provide student transportation for the Everett School District, one of the largest in the state, and are prepared to strike if an agreement is not reached soon.

Last week, the company walked away from the bargaining table after refusing to negotiate in good faith. Teamsters have filed an unfair labor practice charge against the employer. No further bargaining dates are scheduled.
