On March 4, 2025, Goshen Medical Center became aware of suspicious activity on its computer network. Upon detection, Goshen Medical Center launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cyber security experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that certain files may have been accessed or acquired without authorization on February 15, 2025. On September 12, 2025, Goshen Medical Center confirmed that sensitive personal and protected health information was involved
The impacted data may include names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, and medical record numbers.
On September 17, 2025, Goshen Medical Center filed a notice with the Maine Attorney General’s office and began sending notice letters to impacted individuals. Compensation may be available for those individuals who receive notice that their sensitive personal information was compromised.
