Virginia Housing's Board of Commissioners recently elected officers at its September meeting. Sarah Barrie Stedfast of Virginia Beach has been re-elected to serve as chair, and Davon Gray of Manassas has been selected as vice chair.

Sarah Barrie Stedfast is the Venture President at RW Towne Mortgage in Norfolk, Virginia. She has over 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry. Stedfast earned her Certified Mortgage Banker designation, holds a Virginia Real Estate Salesperson's license and received a bachelor's degree in business finance from Virginia Tech. Stedfast has served as chair of the Virginia Housing Board of Commissioners since August 2024.
Davon Gray is the Vice President of Policy for Purpose Built Communities. Gray has more than 25 years of experience in advocacy, political affairs and policy strategy. He previously worked for the American Institute of Architects in various capacities, including Managing Director of Advocacy and Engagement programs. Gray is a 12-year veteran of the United States Army National Guard and Reserves. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor's degree in political science, and he received his master's degree in public administration from DeVry University.
The Virginia Housing Board of Commissioners is responsible for guiding Virginia Housing by adopting policies, approving budgets and overseeing organizational operations.
