Equality Health is increasing its efforts to prevent HIV by increasing the availability of PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) throughout Oklahoma. This effort is part of the group's ongoing work to make healthcare more accessible and help prevent the spread of HIV. PrEP is a preventive medication that, when taken as prescribed, can reduce the risk of contracting HIV by up to 99%. By broadening the availability of PrEP, Equality Health is offering individuals a powerful tool for managing their sexual health and preventing the spread of HIV.
Equality Health has now made sexual health and wellness services available in more areas throughout Oklahoma, including Oklahoma City, Norman, Chickasha, Edmond, El Reno, Moore, and Shawnee. Trained medical professionals will provide HIV testing and guidance for taking PrEP and help eligible patients begin and maintain their PrEP regimen. This expansion builds on Equality Health's community-centered model, which includes mobile clinics and walk-in services designed to meet people where they are, offering care that is safe, confidential, and affordable.
For more information about the expansion or to schedule a consultation, please visit www.ehg.health or call/text (405) 761-2762.
