USAging and BetterAge Announce Strategic Partnership to Transform the Future of Aging–Together

New collaboration delivers smarter tools to strengthen the Aging Network and improve health outcomes for older adults

Amid growing demand for aging services and workforce shortages across the United States, USAging, the national association representing Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) and Title VI Native American Aging Programs, has partnered with digital health platform BetterAge to launch a national effort aimed at transforming the way older adults are supported in communities across the country.

The collaboration introduces BetterAge's evidence-informed, AI-powered platform to USAging's network of aging leaders nationwide-equipping agencies to rapidly capture critical health and well-being data; identify risks early; and deliver personalized, preventive support that connects older adults to the right local services and improves community health outcomes.

“Given the nation's rapidly increasing aging population, our members are being asked to do more than ever-with fewer resources and growing complexity,” said USAging CEO Sandy Markwood. “This partnership is about providing our agencies with the tools they need to deliver more personalized, efficient and effective support to older adults. BetterAge makes it possible to pair local knowledge with powerful digital tools, helping us meet older adults' needs in the moment and help them prepare for the future.”

Addressing a Nationwide Challenge

With more than 11,000 older adults turning 65 every day, the Aging Network is under pressure to scale person-centered programs, demonstrate outcomes and stretch limited staff capacity. BetterAge helps AAAs, state agencies on aging, and community-based organizations assess holistic well-being, identify and reduce barriers to healthy aging and deliver tailored support to keep older adults engaged. The platform also helps agencies generate insights for funders and partners, plan and ultimately improve care.

“We built BetterAge to amplify-not replace-the deep trust older adults already have in local agencies,” said BetterAge CEO Diana Yin. “This partnership is proof that smart technology and human-centered care can work together to make aging well a reality for everyone. USAging and its members have always been there for older adults-our technology just gives them sharper tools to do what they already do best.”

Field-Tested, Community-Ready

BetterAge is already in use in pilot programs across several states and will continue to expand nationally in 2026.

“BetterAge will enhance our community support,” said Linda Levin, CEO of ElderSource, a AAA in Jacksonville, FL. “BetterAge will help us gather meaningful insights from those we serve, allowing us to improve our programs and demonstrate our value to funders. This practical tool will enable us to make smarter decisions with our resources, ultimately benefiting our community.”

Together, USAging and BetterAge are uniting high-touch, community-based care with scalable, digital innovation-showing that when the Aging Network and technology work in harmony, the result is greater than the sum of its parts. It's a model for how AI, community care and public health can work together-at scale-to address the biggest challenges in aging today.
