The full-service office officially opens on September 4 in Pennant Park, an office park located adjacent to The Battery Atlanta, which is anchored by Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. This location serve as a hub for projects across Gray's core markets, including Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, Data Centers, Advanced Technology, Distribution, and Commercial facilities. The new space builds on Gray's long-standing activity in the region and reflects the company's continued investment in areas with strong customer demand and engineering talent.
“Atlanta is one of the most active industrial markets in the country, and it's where some of the most large-scale, technically advanced projects are taking shape,” says Stephen Gray, President & CEO, Gray, Inc. “This office brings us closer to our customers and enables us to support them with the speed, scale, and specialized expertise that today's projects require.”
Gray has operated throughout the Southeast for decades, especially in Georgia. In total, Gray has completed nearly 200 projects in the Peach State. Most recently, the company partnered with Aurubis in Augusta on the first multimetal secondary smelter in the U.S. and is progressing on a beverage production and bottling plant for Yakult in Cartersville.Gray also partnered with Qcells' on multiple projects in Georgia – in Cartersville, they partnered on a 2.5 million-square-foot integrated solar manufacturing facility, and in Dalton a solar manufacturing facility.
“This project redefined what's possible in industrial design-build,” says Brad Heberling, Project Executive with Gray, who has been overseeing the Qcells project and will be working out of the new Gray Atlanta office. “Managing four manufacturing stages with specialized design requirements on an aggressive timeline again proves Gray can deliver the most demanding projects at the highest level of technical complexity.”
Together, these projects reflect Gray's continued ability to complete complex production facilities for foreign and domestic customers pursuing large-scale capital investments in the Southeast. The Atlanta region, in particular, has emerged as a national center for Data Centers, Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, and Advanced Technology – sectors that align directly with Gray's integrated design-build capabilities.
The new Atlanta office, near I-75 and I-285, welcomed customers, project partners, and other members of the business community for an open house on September 4. Approximately 75 design and engineering professionals will work from the new location, which will operate in close coordination with Gray's other offices.
