Partaking in Bourbon & Banter's 30 Days of Bourbon Challenge during National Bourbon Heritage Month is a great way for everyone to learn about the history of bourbon, enjoy different bourbons and bourbon-based cocktails, and support an American industry built on dedication, tradition, and pride.

Anyone can participate in the 30 Days of Bourbon Challenge by using the online calendar and sharing their progress. Weekly prizes include bourbon-themed swag, Bourbon & Banter community memberships, gear from the DrinkCurious Bourbon Shop, and exclusive items from top bourbon brands. The challenge is simple and delicious:

— Drink a different bourbon each day of the month of September

— Record each day's bourbon on the Bourbon & Banteronline calendar

— Share photos on social media and tag #30DaysOfBourbon, #BourbonHeritageMonth, #DrinkCurious, and @BourbonBanter

“September is Bourbon Heritage Month, and there's no better time to raise a glass to the hardworking American distillers who keep this tradition alive, even during challenging times,” said Patrick “Pops” Garrett, founder, and Chief Drinking Officer for Bourbon & Banter. “Every sip matters more than ever, and everyone can participate in the #30DaysOfBourbon challenge because it is a simple, enjoyable way for bourbon lovers to keep this tradition strong for generations to come, celebrate craftsmanship, and take pride in a spirit that's truly American.”

Bourbon & Banter wants to remind enthusiasts that there are clear rules of what counts as a true bourbon during this challenge, as spirits like Rye, Scotch, Irish, Indian, Taiwanese, Canadian, Japanese, Australian, or Mexican whiskies do not count. Guidelines can be found on Bourbon & Banter's website: The Definitive Guide to the 30 Days of Bourbon Challenge: 2025 Edition.
