For 18 years, Harlem's Fashion Row (HFR) has been the premier platform championing multicultural designers and honoring industry trailblazers. On September 9, 2025, HFR will celebrate this milestone with its most dazzling black-tie Fashion Show and Style Awards yet – an unforgettable evening that fuses visionary design, groundbreaking talent, and the glamour of New York Fashion Week. This year, Ugo Mozie will serve as Creative Director for both the Fashion Show and the Style Awards, bringing his signature global perspective and refined artistry to the stage.
The 2025 runway will feature three visionary designers whose collections push the boundaries of artistry and innovation:
— LaTouché – Known for architectural silhouettes and a progressive design lens, LaTouché brings bold structure and storytelling to the runway.
— Atelier Ndigo by Waina Chancy – A brand rooted in elegance and feminine strength, known for masterful tailoring and modern sophistication.
— Daveed Baptiste – The eponymous brand by Daveed Baptiste blends Haitian heritage, streetwear influences, and experimental textile work.
HFR's Style Awards will expand this year with the introduction of two new categories:
— Anne Lowe Maverick Award – honoring a trailblazer who reshapes fashion's future. The inaugural recipient is Ruth Carter, Academy Award-winning costume designer renowned for her cinematic storytelling through fashion.
— Impact Award – recognizing a change agent executive in the fashion and beauty industry. This year's honoree is Christiane Pendarvis- CO-CEO of Pattern Beauty, celebrated for her leadership, advocacy, and industry-shaping influence.
The evening will also spotlight:
— Editor of the Year Award – Nikki Ogunnaike – Editor-in-Chief of Marie Claire, Ogunnaike is known for her forward-thinking editorial vision and commitment to championing diversity in storytelling.
— Stylist of the Year Award – Jason Bolden – One of Hollywood's most sought-after stylists, Bolden is renowned for curating iconic red carpet moments for A-list clients including Cynthia Erivo, Nicole Kidman and Michael B. Jordan.
— The Virgil Abloh Award presented by LVMH – USHER – This prestigious accolade pays tribute to Abloh's enduring impact by honoring individuals who champion culture, community, and innovation while embodying his unmatched spirit and brilliance. USHER – multi-platinum 8x Grammy Award winning global entertainer and entrepreneur – will be recognized for his cultural influence, trailblazing style, and dedication to empowering communities worldwide.
