In her new role, Jacot will oversee public education initiatives that promote responsible dog ownership, develop and expand online education for groomers, breeders, trainers, judges, and the general dog-owning public, and manage the AKC Library and Archives. Jacot has been instrumental in shaping the AKC's educational strategy, ensuring resources are accessible, impactful, and rooted in the organization's mission.

“Ashley's dedication to education and her ability to connect with diverse audiences make her an invaluable leader,” said Gina DiNardo, President and CEO, AKC. “Under her leadership, our educational programs have grown in reach and impact, and I have no doubt she will continue to elevate AKC's mission of promoting responsible dog ownership and lifelong learning.”

Jacot joined the AKC in 2017 as Public Education Manager and was promoted to Director of Education in 2018 before stepping into her current role. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a Master of Education from North Carolina State University, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Before joining the AKC, she worked as a dedicated educator, bringing her passion for learning and communication into the classroom.

A proud member of the Raleigh Kennel Club and the American Chesapeake Club, Ashley is deeply committed to the AKC mission. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their three daughters, and their Chesapeake Bay Retriever.
