Alliant International University is proud to announce the launch of the Occupational Therapy Futures Grant, a $15,000 tuition award for students enrolling in the Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) program beginning in August 2025. The grant is part of Alliant's mission to reduce barriers and expand access to high-impact, community-centered healthcare education.

All students who enroll and begin the MOT program in the August 2025 term will automatically receive the Occupational Therapy Futures Grant, a $15,000 tuition award disbursed in $5,000 installments over the program's first three trimesters. No application is required. Students simply need to enroll and begin the program to qualify. To maintain eligibility, recipients must be enrolled full-time, remain in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and stay continuously enrolled in the program. Students who experience extenuating circumstances may request reinstatement, although approval is not guaranteed.

“Occupational therapy plays a vital role in supporting people's independence and quality of life, especially across underserved communities,” said Dr. Adele Breen-Franklin, Program Director of the MOT program at Alliant. “We want to remove as many barriers as possible for those who are called to this work. This grant directly supports future practitioners as they prepare to meet growing community needs in hospitals, schools, rehab centers, and beyond.”

This initiative reflects Alliant's continued investment in allied health programs and its commitment to preparing professionals who can deliver culturally responsive, evidence-based care.
