Prior to joining Guidelight, Alexanderson served as Chief Operating Officer at Groups Recover Together, a national leader in value-based care for substance use disorder (SUD). In that role, she led a care delivery team spanning 15 states, expanded access to critical treatment, and implemented performance-focused operational strategies to support long-term growth. Her background spans healthcare and financial services, with a focus on building people-centered, data-informed systems that drive clinical and organizational excellence.

“Emily brings a rare combination of operational precision and deep alignment with our mission to expand access to our compassionate, evidence-based mental healthcare,” said Steve Bewley, Chief Executive Officer at Guidelight. “As we continue to grow, her leadership will be instrumental in ensuring we scale thoughtfully-without compromising on quality or our commitment to meeting people where they are.”

Alexanderson, who holds a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College, is passionate about expanding access to care for people from all walks of life.

“I'm thrilled to be joining Guidelight during this period of rapid growth to help fill a critical gap in the continuum of care,” said Alexanderson. “Throughout my career, I've been driven by the belief that everyone deserves access to high-quality, evidence-based mental health treatment. At Guidelight, that belief comes to life in how we operate-and in our commitment to making sure everyone has a seat.”

Guidelight is growing rapidly, with ten clinics currently open across Massachusetts, Colorado and North Carolina, and plans to expand to 16 locations by the end of 2025. With continued expansion planned in 2026, Guidelight remains focused on delivering world-class care for individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders.
