Tahiti Village Resort and Spa, a family-friendly destination in the heart of Las Vegas, has announced a comprehensive $30+ million renovation project designed to offer modernized accommodations that blend style, functionality and comfort. The renovation is focused on creating versatile spaces for multi-generational families, while maintaining the resort's signature tropical aesthetic.

The renovation journey began with a fresh approach to how our guests travel. One room was stripped and refurnished with plywood prototypes, to test various layouts and maximize fun and function. This helped the team refine the room's spatial configuration and improve functionality. Renovations began in tower 5 in November 2024, with all of the suites to be completed by the end of 2025.
Chris Breed, Vice President of Operations, explained, “We envisioned families using the rooms in different ways. Grandparents could be cooking, parents relaxing or working, and kids playing-all without anyone feeling cramped. Our goal is to enhance how our owners and guests experience the space.”
The renovation introduces modern design elements while remaining true to Tahiti Village's tropical roots. The new furniture is designed with comfort and durability in mind, including larger couches that offer more seating than traditional hotel furniture. “Our previous seating layout followed more traditional arrangements, but we recognized that the way people vacation has changed. With that in mind, we designed new pieces that create pockets of space-comfortable, flexible areas that better support how families and friends gather today,” Breed noted.
A major focus of the redesign is decluttering. Unnecessary furniture like floor lamps and side tables were eliminated and replaced with integrated solutions like built-in spaces for drinks and devices. “We streamlined the rooms to make them more functional and less crowded,” said Breed.
Practical improvements were also made with staff in mind. The renovation team worked closely with housekeeping to ensure the new furniture would support daily operations without compromising style. “Heavy items were replaced with more manageable pieces that improve both guest comfort and staff efficiency,” Breed added.
The redesign also includes improved lighting options and durable materials, custom drapery and tapestries, fine Tahitian art, and updated amenities that ensure the rooms remain stylish and easy to maintain.
As the guest room renovations progress, Tahiti Village will next focus on updating its common areas, including the lobby and hallways, to further enhance the overall guest experience.
