What happened?
Around June 2, 2025, Highlands identified a cyberattack that temporarily made some of their files and systems inaccessible. They initiated an investigation and secured their network. They found that between January 21, 2025, and June 2, 2025, an unauthorized third party gained access and encrypted some files. It is also possible that this third party acquired certain files from Highlands' systems. These files may have included personal information such as name, date of birth, Social Security number, driver's license/state identification number, passport number, credit/debit card number, financial account number, medical treatment information, medical record number, patient account number, and/or health insurance policy information. Up to 113,575 individuals have been affected by this data breach.
