BayCare Receives Pharmacy Compounding Excellence Award from Premier Inc.

BayCare Health System, West Central Florida's leading, not-for-profit, community-based academic health care system, has received the 2025 Pharmacy Compounding Excellence Award from Premier, Inc., a leading technology-driven health care performance improvement company.

The award acknowledges Premier members who exemplify high standards of compounding services to promote patient safety, respond to supply disruptions and demonstrate leadership in advancing pharmacy compounding practice.

BayCare was recognized for excellence in compounding operations and staff deployment, safe handling of compounded products, and best practices in building and deploying compounding services (including use of technology) to meet regulatory requirements and the evolving needs of the health care industry.

— Innovative approaches to improving patient access to safe, effective, and high-quality compounded medications.

— Active involvement in Premier's Compounding Collaborative and/or 503B Advisory Group.

— Demonstrated proficiency in USP standards compliance.
