Alex and Feysan Lodde founded MV Transportation in 1975 with a vision to provide safe, reliable mobility for all, especially individuals and communities often underserved by traditional transit systems. Over the past 50 years, that vision has grown into the largest privately owned passenger transportation contracting firm in North America. Today, MV partners with public transit agencies, school districts, and municipalities to deliver services that connect millions of riders to their communities every year.

“When Alex and I founded MV Transportation in 1975, we had one van, a shared vision for equity, and a determination to make sure no one was left behind-not the elderly, not people with disabilities, not anyone without access to a car,” said Feysan, “Alex was the head, I was the heart-and together, we built something that neither of us could have imagined. We didn't set out to create the largest private transportation company in North America-we set out to make a difference.”

The APTA Hall of Fame is reserved for individuals who have long and distinguished careers in the public transportation industry and who have made extraordinary contributions to its advancement. As the leading association representing all modes of public transportation, APTA advocates for the interests of transit providers, passengers, and professionals through policy, innovation, and industry collaboration.

“Feysan's induction into the APTA Hall of Fame is a remarkable achievement that reflects the Loddes' extraordinary vision and impact on our industry,” said Harry Wilson, CEO and Executive Chairman of MV Transportation. “For five decades, they set the standard for safe, reliable, and accessible transportation, inspiring all of us at MV to carry forward their legacy of service, innovation and community.”

Feysan will be formally honored at APTA's 2025 TRANSform Conference this fall, where industry peers from across the nation will gather to celebrate this milestone achievement. Her induction takes place during MV's 50th anniversary year, a powerful reminder of our roots, our impact, and our enduring mission to make transit more inclusive and accessible for all.

“While only one of us could be nominated, this honor belongs to both of us – and to the tens of thousands of people over the last 50 years who helped MV succeed when no one thought it could,” said Feysan. “It belongs to every rider, every operator, and every community that believed in a more inclusive future. Inclusion should never be an afterthought-it must be the foundation.”
