Amanda Demanda Steps In to Support Grieving Family and Pursue Justice
On the morning of April 19, 2025, a heartbreaking crash on Interstate 35 claimed the lives of two parents, Héctor René Bo (35) and María Angélica Maquin (34), leaving behind their four young children in the care of extended family. The couple was traveling from Austin to Dallas with their 12-year-old daughter when a tire blowout prompted them to pull over to the shoulder near Mile Post 309. As they retrieved a spare tire, a passing vehicle veered off the road and fatally struck them both. Their daughter, Anghely Briseida Itzel Bo Maquin (12), witnessed the horrific accident.

Now orphaned, Anghely and her three siblings-Astrid Guadalupe del Rosario Bo Maquin (14), Jaziel Renee Itzael Bo Maquin (10), and Renny Gerlhina Bo Maquin (1)-are living with extended family in Leander, Texas. Their uncle, Fredy Isidoro Daniel Maquin Xol, along with family friends Alma Hernandez and her husband, who already have four children of their own, have selflessly opened their home and hearts to all four siblings. Together, they have taken on the remarkable responsibility of raising eight children under one roof.
In the wake of the tragedy, Amanda Demanda Injury Lawyers has stepped in to support the family-handling the case entirely pro bono and launching a comprehensive fundraising effort to assist with the children's ongoing needs. 100% of donations will go toward the children's care, education, and long-term well-being.
“This tragedy did not just take two lives,” said Amanda Demanda, founder of the firm. “It left four children without the people who loved and protected them most. We cannot change what happened, but we can all come together to help shape what comes next for these kids.”
Amanda personally traveled to Austin to meet the family and spend time with the children. She took all eight kids in the home on a shopping spree for clothes, school supplies, and toys, and treated them to lunch. She also plans to help the oldest daughter, Astrid, celebrate her 15th birthday and has expressed her intent to remain a meaningful presence in their lives.
“We handled this case pro bono because it is about more than a legal outcome,” Amanda added. “It is about protecting four children whose lives were shattered in an instant. Now we are asking the community to help carry them forward.”
