Designed for non-profits, local governments, and Community Action Agencies (CAAs), Community Ride eliminates the complexity of traditional paper-based systems while increasing access to transportation in rural and underserved communities.

Community Ride's launch coincides with CTAA EXPO 2025, the nation's leading event for rural, tribal, and small urban transit systems. It is the premier platform for showcasing innovations that address community transportation's unique challenges and opportunities.

“CTAA is the perfect venue to announce the launch of Community Ride, which empowers agencies to expand access to rural transportation assistance with greater reach, flexibility, and efficiency,” said Craig Smith, Vice President at Community Ride.

Community Ride enables agencies to deliver cost-effective, secure, and scalable transportation services without investing in vehicles or infrastructure. It supports a wide range of funding sources – including federal programs (5310, 5311), Medicaid, local grants, and self-pay – and accommodates diverse driver models such as client-provided, agency-based, or third-party transportation providers. The platform's advanced reporting and compliance tools support fund braiding, allowing agencies to manage and track multiple funding streams across programs with clarity and precision.

“Utah is a geographically large state with many rural areas where fixed-route transit isn't feasible. Community Ride allows agencies to close those gaps and ensure residents can access critical services like healthcare, work, and community activities,” said Clint Wilkinson, of UTA.

Key Features of Community Ride:

— Agency Mobility Management: Configure programs, funding sources, rider eligibility, drivers, rates, and compliance tracking from a centralized interface.

— Ride-Share Experience for Riders & Drivers: Clients can request rides, receive updates, and verify trips via GPS or secure codes. Drivers can accept trips, track rides, and receive automated reimbursements.

— Built-In Automation: Reduces administrative workload with notifications, automatic trip verification, fraud prevention, and auditing.

— Adaptable to a wide range of programs such as NEMT, senior mobility, veterans' programs, mobile integrated health, and more.

Community Ride was developed with UTA to address transportation access gaps beyond its fixed-route network.
