Overture Outreach International Announces Strategic Leadership Transition to Enhance Impact and Sustainability

Overture Outreach International, operating as Overture International, has embarked on a significant leadership transition that reflects our commitment to our mission of child protection, family preservation, and social and community development. This restructuring involved two of our founding members, Jocelyn Nelson and Cameron Parker, who have been discharged from their operational and board roles.

The decision to relieve Jocelyn and Cameron came after an extensive review and careful deliberation by our Board of Directors, who ultimately concluded that these changes are essential for the long-term sustainability and effectiveness of Overture's mission.

Jocelyn Nelson, a Haitian National, who served as the Board President during the period of March 2017 to February 2020, Regional Director in Haiti from February 2020 until September 2023, and a member of the Board of Directors until March 18, 2024, has been relieved of all those roles on their effective dates.

Cameron Parker from Colorado, USA, who served as the Vice President from March 2017 to February 2020 and President of the Board and Sustainability Director from February 2020 until March 3, 2025, has been relieved of all those roles on their effective dates.

At Overture, we believe in transparency and accountability. We understand that change can be difficult, but we also recognize that it is necessary for growth. As an organization, we remain committed to our values of integrity, inclusivity, and empowerment. These changes reflect our commitment to constantly reassess and improve upon our operations to better serve those who rely on us.

We are grateful for the contributions of Jocelyn Nelson and Cameron Parker to the early development of Overture Outreach International (dba Overture International), and we wish them well in their future endeavors.

Moving forward, the leadership team will be anchored by remaining founder Lisa Hyatt, who continues to serve as Executive Director and a member of the Board of Directors, alongside Maxo Fontaine, also a founder, who retains his position as Project Controller and Board member. Together with the current board members and the leadership team in Haiti, we believe that every child deserves a safe and nurturing family, and every family deserves the resources from a strong community to thrive. We are excited about the future and the opportunity to enhance our impact on the lives of those we serve.
