Will Dyer named Senior Vice President of Loan Operations.
Pender Capital (“Pender”), an investment manager specializing in short-term, senior secured commercial bridge loans, today announced the hiring of Andrew Tran as Chief Financial Officer and Will Dyer as Senior Vice President of Loan Operations.
As CFO, Tran will lead accounting, finance, and operational functions. He brings over 30 years of experience in financial services and alternative investment management, with a strong focus on building internal controls, policies, and risk management frameworks.
Before joining Pender, Tran spent nearly 16 years overseeing finance, accounting, and operations at Coast Asset Management as Chief Financial and Chief Operating Officer.His experience includes consulting for American Honda Finance, serving as Controller at HSBC Securities Canada,and working as an Audit Manager at Deloitte.
Tran is a California-licensed Certified Public Accountant with an MBA from the University of Toronto. He will report to Cory Johnson, CEO of Pender Capital.

As Senior Vice President of Loan Operations, Dyer will lead all loan processing and servicing for the firm's lower middle market portfolio, which includes first-lien loans typically ranging from $10 to $30 million.
Prior to Pender, Dyer was a Principal and Chief Investment Officer for Bay Mountain Capital, a private equity firm focused on real estate lending. He has an MBA from the University of Wisconsin Real Estate and Urban Land Economics program and a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. He will report to Zach Murphy, Chief Investment Officer.
