Meet Annual Award Winners, Network with Tax Credit Community Leaders, Discuss Legislation and More June 5-6, 2025
Novogradac will reveal and celebrate the winners of the 2025 Novogradac Journal of Tax Credits Awards Community Development Qualified Low-Income Community Investments (QLICIs) of the Year at the Novogradac 2025 Spring New Markets Tax Credit Conference, held June 5-6, 2025, at the Fairmont in Washington, D.C. Participants can network with professionals in the new markets tax credit (NMTC) community in addition to hearing experts speak about some of the community's most pressing issues, including an extension of the incentive, what to expect from the upcoming $10 billion allocation round and more.
“With a $10 billion double round, we're on the cusp of a huge moment in the 25-year history of the new markets tax credit,” said Greg Clements, CPA, a partner in Novogradac's Dover, Ohio, office and conference chair. “It's such an important time to be making, establishing and maintaining connections with other experts in the tax credit community for your own transactions as well as to get the chance to sit in on the panels and hear what some of those same experts are hearing and anticipating about the future of NMTCs.”
Other sessions on the agenda include panels on technical transaction issues, insights from Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund insiders, navigating qualified active low-income community business (QALICB) issues and more. The full agenda can be found here.
The conference is co-hosted by Capital One and U.S. Bancorp Impact Finance, sponsored by Advantage Capital, Dudley Ventures/Valley Bank, Enterprise, Husch Blackwell, Longwell Riess, National Trust Community Investment Corporation and Wells Fargo, and features exhibitors Impact Marketplace and Stinson.
In addition to the panel topics, Novogradac will host two pre-conference workshops June 4. The NMTC Basics Workshop will feature experts teaching the fundamentals of the NMTC program. The NMTC Compliance Workshop will inform attendees about the compliance requirements by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the CDFI Fund and more. Separate registration fees for the pre-conference workshops apply.
