World Premiere of AI Cinema Landmark: “A Very Long Carriage Ride” — The First Dual-Format Release in Cinema History

A film is no longer a film. A film is a series of possibilities.

Independent filmmaker and AI cinema pioneerHooroo Jackson unveils A Very Long Carriage Ride, a revolutionary new feature that marks the first simultaneous dual-format release in cinema history. Presented in both 2D Disney-style animation and stop motion claymation, the project redefines not only how films are made, but how they are seen.

Created entirely by Jackson on a budget of $2,000, the film claims two additional milestones: the first AI-generated claymation feature film, and the first AI-generated Disney-style animated feature film.

Jackson describes it simply: One Film, Two Ways.

The Dickensian period piece follows Autumn Watt, an aspiring 18th-century socialite, who journeys across class lines to expose the corrupt magnate Meijor Donaldson at his own wedding. Along the way, she is joined by disgraced tycoon Hopkins Brandy and a ragtag ensemble of musketeers, fortune tellers, and traveling misfits.

Structured around three weddings, the film blends romance, rebellion, and myth, evoking a lost classic from another universe.

Foregoing any studio logo, the film opens with three highlighted tenets from Jackson's book on AI film theory, The New Machine Cinema:

The Living Breathing Film:a story rendered in multiple forms

One Man, One Film:a solo-authored film without collaboration

Machine Pleasures:the rise of machine actors and non-human performance

A Very Long Carriage Rideincludes over 60 speaking parts-and not a single human actor. “Looking atregular movies now with hundreds of credits, they seem downright surreal.”

Asked which version is superior, Jackson replies: “That's the joy. The script is identical but the medium transforms everything. Watching them side-by-side is constantly profound.”

This is Jackson's third historical milestone in cinema:

• Window Seat(July 2023): the first fully AI-generated feature film

• DreadClub: Vampire's Verdict (July 2024): the first fully AI-animated feature film, and the first AI anime-also the first AI feature film to land a major streaming license

• A Very Long Carriage Ride(April 2025): the first dual-format release in cinema history, and the first AI feature film in both stop motion animation and Disney-style classic animation.

A Very Long Carriage Ridepremieres on April 22nd on YouTube for 24 hours in both versions, with a third version displaying both versions side-by-side. Wide distribution follows in May 2025.
