The Empower Campaign, an initiative focused on empowering people to become the best versions of themselves, is celebrating a major milestone-surpassing $1 million in total donations over the past three years at the RX3 Charity Flag Football Tournament. Hosted by Aaron Rodgers' RX3 Foundation on March 15, the event brought together athletes, celebrities, and philanthropists for a day of competition and giving. The Empower Campaign, in partnership with Love One International, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children and families in Uganda, formed one of the 10 teams that competed in the tournament.

The games commenced with a quarterback auction, where teams came together to select their quarterback, with auction funds benefiting the RX3 Foundation and the charity of the selected quarterback. In the third-round pick, the Empower Campaign Team secured Josh Allen, quarterback for the Buffalo Bills and 2024 NFL MVP, as their team's quarterback. This is the third consecutive year The Empower Campaign has selected Allen as their team's quarterback at RX3, contributing more than $320,000 through the QB auctions to the Patricia Allen Fundover the years.
“Our mission at the Empower Campaign is to help people discover their strength, build confidence and unlock their potential,” said Heather Miller, founder of the Empower Campaign. “What our team was able to accomplish, not only on the field but in terms of the funds raised for Love One International, RX3 Foundation and the Patricia Allen Fund, is a remarkable testament to our collective power together.”
As part of the collaboration with Love One International, country music star Thomas Rhett, joined the Empower Campaign Team and played in each of the games. Rhett's wife, Lauren Akins, vice chairman of the Love One International board, was also in attendance, using their platforms to talk about and support the organization. The partnership helped raise $75,000 for Love One International, which will further their impact on providing life-saving medical care to children and families in Uganda.
In addition to Rhett, the Empower Campaign proudly welcomed women's flag football athlete Maci Joncich to the team. Joncich made history in 2024 as the youngest ever to earn a spot on the U.S. National Women's Flag Football Team final roster, showcasing the incredible talent of the national team during this year's RX3 tournament and fully holding her own against some of the NFL's biggest stars.
“The Empower Campaign is dedicated to uplifting people through the universal languages of community, sports, music, and culture,” Miller explained. “Each of our Empower Campaign Team players exudes this ethos on and off the field, coming together to support a greater cause and raise money for incredible causes.”
During this year's event, a special recognition was made for the LA County Women's Fire League and the incredible support firefighters provided during the recent LA wildfires.. The Empower Campaign donated $5,000 to the Women's Fire Alliance, which will be allocated to the County of Los Angeles Women's Fire League in support of all their tireless support and commitment to our communities.
The RX3 Foundation in total raised more than $3.5M during this year's event for associated charities and philanthropic organizations.
