On December 12, 2023, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company ("HPE") became aware of a security incident involving unauthorized access to its cloud-based email environment. Upon detection, HPE launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that a suspected nation-state actor gained unauthorized access to HPE’s email environment. HPE conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identify affected individuals.

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been compromised as a result of the data breach:name, Social Security number, driver’s license number, credit/debit card numbers, and financial account details.On February 5, 2025, HPE filed a notice with the Massachusetts Attorney General and other authorities and started sending out notice letters to the affected individuals.Compensation may be available for those individuals who received notice that their personal information was compromised.
