Alerion Aviation Chairman Robert Seidel will continue to provide strategic guidance and support.
With over 35 years of experience in the aviation industry, Seidel is recognized for his expertise in operational excellence, strategic leadership, and driving company growth. His exceptional leadership helped shape Alerion into a leading force in the private aviation industry.
Before leading Alerion Aviation, Seidel enjoyed a distinguished career at Gulfstream Aerospace and Jet Aviation. His contributions to these companies were pivotal in their innovation and expansion within the private aviation sector. For twelve years, Seidel's vision as CEO of Alerion led the company to new heights, establishing it as a premier provider of aircraft management and charter services.
Seidel's career also includes notable military service as a U.S. Navy flight officer, where he operated P-3C Orion aircraft and later served as an instructor, teaching navigation, communications, and tactics. He retired as a lieutenant commander after two deployments to the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
“Passing the torch to the next generation of Alerion leaders and opening a new chapter as Chairman of Alerion is exciting and a natural transition,” said Seidel. “Having helped lead Alerion to where it is today, I am so proud of our people and what we've achieved. I look forward to supporting the team in a more strategic role and helping to shape the future of the company.”
Seidel holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy and a Masters of Management from the Kellogg School of Northwestern University. He also serves on the advisory boards of Air Research Group (ARGUS), Farmingdale State College (SUNY) School of Aviation, and Ableflight, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering disabled individuals through aviation scholarships.
