Cortica, the United States' leading physician-led, whole-child autism care company, has launched its expanded, 8,400-square-foot Plano Whole-Child Care Center for children with neurodevelopmental differences. The center, which is the first of its kind in North Texas, will host a February 20 Grand Opening event at 5025 West Park Boulevard, Suite 300 in Plano, featuring center tours for families and a4:00 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Plano Mayor John B. “We're excited to provide families in greater Dallas/Fort Worth with coordinated diagnostic, applied behavioral analysis (ABA), developmental therapy, medical, and counseling services,” affirmed Cortica co-founder and CEO Neil Hattangadi, MD. “At Cortica Plano, families can access high-quality, research-based, and personalized care, all in one place.”

Cortica Plano offers in-center and in-home care options for children up to age 17, including:

— Individual ABA therapy

— Age-specific ABA therapy groups for children from 18 months to 6 years

— Individual and group occupational, speech-language, and music therapy sessions

— Programs that enhance social and daily living skills

— Programs that support children in demonstrating their new skills in home, school, and community settings

The center's pediatric neurologists and nurse practitioners offer comprehensive neurodevelopmental evaluations for autism and other conditions, genetic and metabolic testing, diagnostic tests including electroencephalography (EEG), device therapies, medication management, and nutrition evaluation, supplementation, and management. Cortica Plano also offers caregiver education programs as well as individual and family telehealth counseling.

Cortica's holistic care model is explored in the bestselling book “Magnificent Minds,” authored by the organization's co-founder and chief medical officer, Dr. Suzanne Goh, MD, BCBA. In the book, Dr. Goh, a board-certified pediatric neurologist, details Cortica's approach to optimizing medical treatment and advancing cognition, communication, and behavior based on each child's unique developmental profile, strengths, and goals.

“Since 2021, our Plano team has used the whole-child Cortica Care Model to support families with transformative, scientifically grounded care,” stated Dr. Hattangadi. “We look forward to providing even more North Texas children and families with access to fully integrated autism services through our newly expanded center.”
