NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / September 26, 2024 / The Tech Interactive ("The Tech")recently disclosed a data breach that potentially compromised the sensitive personal information of visitors and current and former employees. This data breach has led to concerns over the security of sensitive private information entrusted to The Tech.
WHAT’S THIS ABOUT?
In early 2024, The Tech discovered suspicious activity in its IT network. The Tech immediately launched an investigation to determine the nature and scope of the data breach. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to its IT network between April 9, 2024 and April 13, 2024. On July 9, 2024, The Tech completed its review of individuals impacted by the data breach.
Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been exposed in the data breach:(i) Full Name,(ii) Social Security number,(iii) Driver’s license number, California ID card number, tax identification number, passport number, military ID number, or other unique ID number issued on a government document, and(iv) Account number or credit or debit card number, in combination with any required security code, access code, or password that would permit access to an individual’s financial account.
On September 16, 2024, The Tech issued a public notice of the data breach and began notifying those impacted. Compensation may be available to individuals who received notice that their personal information was compromised. â?¯
